Fame

"The new remake of Fame appeals to pre-teens who hope to go to performing arts schools, and they must not yet possess the ability to tell a good performance from bad." I just recently saw Fame about a week ago. I thought it was actually all right. The whole story wasn't good at all, but the dancing, singing, and playing of musical instruments was fantastic! All of my friends who saw it with me enjoyed it too, but my mom hated it. I got this impression from a lot of parents. They all thought that the original Fame that came out in 1980 was "so much more original." I was then forced to watch the original Fame with my mother only to realize that it actually was better. The only character who I actually did like in this new Fame was Denise, the classical pianist longing to be a pop star. Of course. All in all, I think I'll give this movie a 2 out of 5 stars. You can tell that the producers and director really did try, but it just wasn't going to work out in the long run.
