Up

"Winsome, touching and arguably the funniest Pixar effort ever, the gorgeously rendered, high-flying adventure is a tidy 90-minute story of Carl Fredrickson and the little Boyscout Russell." Up is a movie for everyone of all ages to enjoy. I saw it twice in theaters and enjoyed it both times. The plot is that an old man named Carl's wife had just died but before she died, he made a promise to her that they would find Paradise Falls in South America. So to escape going to a retirement community, Carl ties thousands of balloons to the roof of his house and sets sail to South America. Russell, a Wilderness Explorer trying to earn his final merit badge for "Assisting the Elderly", has stowed away on the front porch after being sent on a snipe hunt by Carl the day before. So together the two of them embark on a journey of a lifetime. This is without a doubt the best Pixar movie I have ever seen. It is everything you expect and more out of a Disney movie too because someone dies, and then they gain a new friend. It was also quite hilarious. The quality of the graphics were incredible. The story itself was a very nice tale in which the movie suggests that a life without adventure isn't a life worth living. I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.
